Counting down to 2 weeks... looking back from the start of proposal...preparation for ROM... preparation for Wedding... its been one and a half year... will our lifestyle change after that? Scarily... I will miss my home... the one I have been living for 20 over years... :(

Food Tasting on 15 Nov 09
Glad that our parents are satisfied with the menu except for one dish which we will make slight changes for the ingredients as discussed with the chef. The table was also set up in the theme we chose, still thinking whether to stick with the theme or not. And if yes, slight changes have to be made. Keeping a suspense here... hee
Trying of jacket for both father on 16 Nov 09
ZL's father has a hard time getting one due to his size so his will be tailor make. My father has no problem getting his except that needs to buy new pants cos the old ones are loose. Accompany him to buy 2 pants at BHG. After that meet ZL to view the photos layout.

MV Doulos
Heard from my colleague about this ship (older than Titanic) is here in SG! A book fair on the ship! Interesting isnt it?
We managed to find her dock at The Promenade. The stairs up the ship is abit scary for me...cos instead of the usual steps, its rounded (imagine the shape of half cyclinder mould to the ladder). afraid that I might lose my balance I grabbed the handles with both my hands whereas my colleague was far ahead of me...haa... so lang bei...
Both of us only realised that we forget to use the flyer (entitle to 10%) after paying for the books. :(

Printing of cards
Related to the previous post... we went lil-art as recommended by the hotel on Sat to check out their products. The charges $140 for 250pcs and subsequent 50 pcs at $5. The same day ZL went JB (City Square) to rackey. The quote from one of the shop was RM125 for 250 pcs. They even have the samples for the hotel and its exactly the same! So needless to say, we will be going JB next weekend to place our order. Yeah, can soon bian do some shopping...hee

Up coming tasks to be done
Just when we have been wondering when the hotel co-ordinator will contact us regards to printing of invitation card and food tasting and wanted to give them a call after checking the mail which she had stated the time frame/deadline of the tasks but before we do that received an email from her 2 weeks ago! My god, what if we didn't check the mail? miss the deadline? She didn't even call us after sending the mail! Perhaps she did, just that we didn't answer her call cos its a unfamiliar number. Haiz... not happy*
Cards Printing
MO recommended 2 cards printing company. We called up 1 of our friends who signed up with them before. Damn the price is much cheaper 2 years ago...inflation mah??? Thinking of printing at JB (heard its cheaper), shall decide after they come back with the quotation whether its worth the hassle of travelling across the sea not.
Food Tasting
MO provide a few dates in Oct and Nov. Looking at Oct but ZL's mum have to attend wedding dinner that day so have to be in Nov. Hmm on 15th (we don't want to have it too late cos its nearing the customary day) ... our 1st year ROM anniversary. Actually planned for a short trip to either Bintan or Batam that weekend :( have to forgo the idea le... Anyway, it will be as memorable too! Free 8 course dinner at the hotel!!! haa...

Long weekend
We have missed the date 09-09-09 due to work commitments but we spent 20-09-2009 together :) its not as enjoyable as 19-09-2009
Was at BL over the looonngg weekend.
19-09-2009 (Sat)
At home in the morning to overlook the contractor (foreign worker) who came to mend the holes on the ceiling. He took 2 hours alone amending the kitchen, living room and masterbed room! Clean up abit before he go...mum asked me to give him drinks and packets of biscuits. Iam surprise that he took the biscuits (its like norm for him or has he expect us to give?)...not that I look down, rather I think of it as his pay is low and alone in SG...the biscuits to us is less than $2 a packet could save him abit and provide warmth.
Did further cleaning but not good enough...*gulity* cos meeting ZL at 2pm and already late...in the end mum do most of the cleaning. Pickup point at JE, went down to Chinatown CTC to give them (ZL's new passport) details. Oh we have booked our package for honeymoon...a place with Kimchi, Ginseng Chicken... hee Korea! Why we decide on Korea? Hmm wanted to go USA/ Hokkaido... Firstly, the departure is in Jan (offpeak period) so USA might not be a safe choice. Secondly, we don't really like the itinerary for Hokkaido so ended up with Korea cheaper compare to both. :)
Check out the package for Bintan and Batam at Kent Holidays (recommended by my cousin who frequent Bintan).
Next stop, Orchard... ZL wanted to watch a movie but only left the front rows so we spent our time at Gloria Jeans la kopi. Since a long time we do that... enjoy it! Shopped at Taka... didn't expect to get something but in the end spent alot! :( ZL didn't stop me! Of cos la not his money! Hurr... Dinner was at Old Town (Chuntin rd)... Home Sweet Home
20-09-2009
Went MacDonld @King Albert Centre, to sort the guest list. After that was at Ikea, bought a pot of plant. The black brown plank (as shelf for the room) was temp sold out. :(

Choosing of Pre-Wedding Photos
We have fixed the date to choose the photos on 29th Aug. But realised that I will be going for company's teambuilding for that weekend so requested to reschedule to 22nd Aug. It has been a year since we bought the package from them (bridal shop). Till now, the service is still consider good, no complaints yet (except for the flowers which are not so fresh)...we have also paid all the remaining amounts (1 item off the list).
Choosing of photos isn't easy. We reached there 5.30pm and only finish at 8plus! Though we have made an agreement that the max we will buy is 3 photos but we ended up with extra 4 photos and 5 pages! Because of the layout that we need extra photos...just imagine one side of the page with indoor shots and the other side with outdoor, it will be mismatch isit? So we have to arrange the pics in such a way that both pages are of the same theme.
The photos turn out quite well except for night ones maybe cos we are all tired. The layout draft will be ready in a month's time. :)

Pre-Wedding Photoshoot
This is one of the day I have been looking forward. Didn't have good sleep for the past few days...thinking about this and that...abit stress...for no reason! Haa...
Prior to the actual day, we did our check list for things to be brought. Sunflowers, bears, dress, nu bra, shirts, ties and shoes. The appointment was 10am but we reached there around 9am. Finally the make-up artist (Yuki) arrived...my makeup and hairstyling begins...while the guys went out for breather. By the time my makeup done, its already 11plus...had lunch and start "working"...
1st outfit : Cheongsam
This was tailor made at one of the shops in Far East. Yuki says as a warm up wear this outfit first...hmm...photographer (TS) asked what kind of pics we prefer and understand more from us before we proceed.
2nd outfit : Evening Dress
Touch up my make up and change hair style...my poor hair was being spray with lots of hairspray...removing pins putting back the pins again...
3rd outfit : Wedding Gown
Again, change hair style and touch up. The part which I like most is when we are given flower petals to throw also with the help from Yuki. Haa...fun!
And a few shoots outside the studio.
Before going outdoor, touch up again and change hair style (can imagine how many times my hair is being sprayed!) The weather was still ok with alittle drizzle.
1st stop, Botanic Garden
Peter says its his first time there...haa we are glad that have asked him to drive us around. It save us alot of time. Surprisingly the park was quite crowded with students, tourists and couples...I thought weekdays will have less people around but am wrong.
2nd stop, Hortpark & Henderson Waves
Hortpark...the spiral staircase and wooden swing is a must to take...I nearly fell off the swing :P
Henderson Waves...hmm the curvy wooden planks...ZL was being requested by TS to carry me...haa poor him...cos the gown adds on to my weight.
3rd stop, Sentosa
We are suppose to change into another outfit. Forgo the short dress and change into casual wear. As I left my bra in the car, ZL went to get it, and TS was on the phone. I was left alone with strangers looking at me and taking my photo! Felt uneasy...I think they are tourist...or foreigners working here. Hmm...one asked me isit my actual day today. The other couple requested to take a snap of me. I said ok (thinking at least they have the courtesy to asked)...but little did I expect that its the man who wants to take with me. Even asked (with a accent) whether he can hold my hand (though I didn't really get what he said and when he repeat the 2nd time, I roughly figure that either he wants to hold my hand or put his hand on me)! I replied "NO". Hurrr shouldn't have agree taking the pic...what am I thinking!
Anway, we managed to take afew pics with the sunset scene. I feel we are special cos the rest of the couples are wearing gowns and suits at the beach.
4th stop and the last, Fullerton
Changed into cheongsam again...took a few night scenes. Finally everything ended at 8plus...was so hungry by then. Drive TS back to the bridal shop and return the gown. Had dinner and dessert as a form of reward for ourselves after a hard day work! Haa... Its a wonderful & unforgettable experience for me.
